Help the Animals in Syria

In the heart of Damascus, Syria, Stichting CatConnect runs a small but vital animal shelter. Currently, around 115 animals have found a safe haven here – mostly cats, but also a few dogs and even a turtle have found refuge with us.

Each and every one of these animals has been rescued from the streets. They arrived starving, injured by traffic, or simply too weak to survive on their own.

Our shelter provides them with safety and care, but the conditions are extremely challenging. Electricity is available for just one hour a day, and there is no access to running water. Despite these hardships, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly every day to offer these animals a life with dignity.

Stichting CatConnect not only feeds the animals in the shelter, but also provides food to stray animals at various locations throughout the city. Due to a lack of donations, we are currently only able to provide one simple meal per day. To prevent the stray population from continuing to grow, we would love to start a spay and neuter program—but we need your help to make that possible.
